AgentTech Announces AgentTech MCP, AI Agents Phone Tools

Now available within AgentTech Dialer, AgentTech MCP connects AI workflows to agency phone operations, with controls for consent, spending, and human handoff.

TAMPA, FL, November 6, 2026 AgentTech today announced AgentTech MCP, phone infrastructure that lets AI agents use agency phone tools through the Model Context Protocol or a REST API. Now available as a feature of AgentTech Dialer, AgentTech MCP is designed to help U.S. insurance telesales agencies put AI agents to work answering calls, qualifying inquiries, arranging consented callbacks, and connecting callers with licensed agents.

AgentTech MCP is the Dialer's phone API and MCP interface for AI agents to provision numbers, place and receive voice calls on AgentTech telephony, stream events, and control calls. It uses the same wallet, agencies, numbers, and call logs as the Dialer.

AgentTech MCP brings those workflows into the agency's existing Dialer environment. It is not a separate product, signup, or carrier. Agencies use their existing AgentTech account, phone numbers, call logs, and billing infrastructure, while administrators decide which phone capabilities an AI agent can access.

The announcement extends a platform already used by insurance telesales teams: 100+ agencies use AgentTech every day.

A phone connection for the agents agencies choose

AI agents need more than a generated response to participate in an agency's phone workflow. They need a way to receive a ringing call, understand what the caller says, speak a response, and hand the conversation to a person when appropriate. AgentTech MCP provides those phone tools through streamable HTTP MCP, using protocol version 2025-11-25, alongside a REST API on the same gateway.

Teams can connect custom AI workflows through an appropriately configured MCP-capable client or REST implementation. The client must support the required transport and bearer-key authentication.

An agency administrator enables the feature and creates scoped bearer keys in Agency Settings. Access can be limited across account, billing, numbers, calls, and recordings. Keys are shown once, stored as hashes, and revocable, giving the agency control over access without sharing an administrator's login.

Building a path from the first ring to a licensed agent

AgentTech MCP exposes tools for an AI receptionist to answer an incoming call, receive transcripts, and send spoken responses through a speak and listen voice bridge. The call-control tools also support declining a call, sending keypad tones, placing a caller on hold, resuming the conversation, and hanging up. Blind and warm transfers, along with human conferencing, support handoff to a licensed agent rather than requiring the AI to handle every part of the interaction.

For insurance telesales teams, those capabilities are intended to support a practical division of work. An AI agent can gather the reason for a call and qualify the inquiry before bringing in a licensed agent. An after-hours receptionist can receive an inquiry and help arrange a callback, while outbound callbacks remain subject to consent and calling-hour checks.

Agencies can also search for, purchase, list, and release phone numbers through the Dialer's number infrastructure. Inbound routes support a live agent, webhook, voicemail, Dialer AI, relay, or forwarding, allowing agencies to choose how a number enters their workflow. Call details and recordings provide follow-up context, while a live event stream and secret-signed HTTPS webhooks let connected systems react to call activity.

Agency controls remain part of the workflow

AgentTech MCP includes technical safeguards for access, outbound contact, and resource use. Paid actions, including number purchase or release and calls, require explicit confirmation. Per-key rate limits, concurrency controls, daily spending limits, and number caps help agencies constrain automated activity.

Outbound requests include a purpose and consent reference. A fail-closed contact policy checks AI-voice prior express written consent, seller match, jurisdiction, and applicable federal calling hours before allowing the call. Restricted destinations include 911 and other N11 services, 900/976 numbers, shortcodes, and international destinations.

AI and recording disclosures, together with agency call-log attribution, keep automated calls within an identifiable agency workflow. These controls are technical safeguards, not a legal compliance guarantee. Agencies remain responsible for lawful consent, appropriate disclosures, and the conduct of their insurance telesales operations.

AgentTech MCP gives agencies a common phone-tool layer for AI-assisted reception, qualification, human handoff, and consented follow-up within the Dialer they already use.
